Four weeks in!
Well its four weeks in and I, and my dog Delilah, are making some kind of progress.
We are now running sixteen minutes in each session and are doing it in 3 and 5 minute runs with a bit of walking between. (Week one is Severn times one minute runs with 90 seconds walking between them.) So its progress!
I have also learnt that warming up and warming down are really important things to do. My calf muscles are seriously painful having not done the right thing to prepare them for the stick that they are taking...... but you live and learn.
But on the positive side the fact that I have started the journey to raising the money that we need to be able to keep delivering for Chelwood has been coming in, if we can reclaim the Tax from our friends at HMRC we are over £1000, so a good start and thank you to those who have chipped money in, its appreciated, and very motivational.
So we go into week five of nine, on the journey to 5K, with optimism.
